Their main shop is in Segambut and for many years, has gained a strong following of seafood noodles lovers in the Klang Valley. Dave’s Deli @ 1U
Dave's Deli has been around the Klang Valley for many years and I'm sure almost everyone knows about them. Now, if you think the food taste the same in every outlet, then you're pretty much wrong. I used to think that too. The menu may be the same but certainly, the portions and taste differ from outlet to outlet. One of the best outlets - in terms of portions and taste, is surely the one in 1 Utama. Compared to other outlets (eg the one in Subang Parade - sucky!), the 1U outlet comes up … [Read more...]
Kluang Station @ 1 Utama
Kluang StationLG-337 New Wing1 Utama Shopping MallBandar UtamaPetaling JayaThere are only a few "upmarket" kopitiams that I really like, around the Klang Valley. The Kluang Station kopitiams, which sprouted from the original dilapidated kopitiam in Kluang are a far cry from the parent. The Kluang Stations around here are housed mainly in shopping malls.I like Kluang Station mainly for their Iced Kopi. The local brew is really "khau" enough, not too sweet and tastes absolutely refreshingly … [Read more...]
Bumbu Bali – Part 2
Since the first post I did on Bumbu Bali, we have been back there again. Besides the Nasi Campur which LL absolutely loved & had to order again, we tried their Grilled Lamb Chop (RM23.50). 2 huge pieces of shoulder chops were served with fries, a separate bowl of salad, a huge piece of watermelon and a bowl of their special Bumbu gravy. The lamb has been marinated with some spices, black pepper and grilled to perfection with a hint of lemongrass. The fragrant gravy had mixed flavours of … [Read more...]

It was only then that I realise I live a few stones' throws away from this place - … [Read more...]
Peranakan Place @ 1U
Restoran Peranakan Place Lot F221, 1st Floor 1 Utama Shopping Mall Bandar Utama Petaling Jaya Tel: 03-7728 8728A last-minute lunch invitation a couple of days ago had me ending up in this Peranakan Place - a nyonya restaurant in 1U. The pictures may not be very good as the lighting there was dim & yellow, with no open windows (it's a centre lot) for natural light. I hate taking pictures in such conditions because if I use the flash, the pictures turn out very "white & bright" (you … [Read more...]
Foodbuzz
I meant to write about this earlier...but what with one thing and another, it kinda slipped my mind. If you have the time, do click on their site - they have lots of interesting stuff, food-related of course, from many bloggers & websites all over the … [Read more...]
Office Party
Last Friday, we had a farewell party for a dear colleague who was leaving the company after almost 19 years. It was sad saying goodbye - there were a good number of teary-eyed faces around...but then, I always believe the "end" of something always signifies the beginning of something better to come.Anyway, I'd like to share with you some of the food (what else!) we had that evening. I engaged this particular caterer as I had tasted their food in a Chinese New Year house party earlier this year … [Read more...]
