Located in a mid shoplot in the commercial buzz of Bandar Sri Menjalara, it’s quite amazing to find Le Chou Chou Café – a cosy spot wafting with delicious just-baked aromas and freshly-brewed coffee. With its soothing cream and latte colors theme and high ceilings, this pork-free café is immediately welcoming with its inviting vibes. The café is also pet-friendly – furkids are welcome on the ground floor.


Translated, “chou chou” refers to “favourites” or even “darling” in French and sure enough, we could see many of our favourites in the café. Right in the chillers at the front of house was an array of beautifully baked pastries, tarts and cakes.


For a start, our coffees came with a serving of mini croissants. Biting into these, we were thoroughly enamoured by the fragrant buttery crispness. We just had to have more – so more croissants were called for: Plain Croissant (RM8), Almond Croissant (RM12) and Tuna Cheese in Croissant (RM17.80) made their way to our table. Trust me when I say John Tan (baker & co-owner) bakes some of the best croissants in town! The light crisp buttery layers practically melt in the mouth and you won’t stop at one.





From the menu, we decided on Big Breakfast (RM42), Salmon with Eggs Benedict (RM38) and Aglio Olio with Grilled Chicken (RM26.90). Unable to resist their freshly-baked breads, we also chose their Focaccia with Egg Mayo (RM22). Both the brunch staples of Big Breakfast and Eggs Benedict are very filling with the generous portions of omega eggs, beef bacon, saute’ed mushrooms, sourdough slices, housemade Hollandaise sauce and Atlantic smoked salmon.





The baking team is incredibly talented and creative, looking at the array of gorgeous cakes and sweets in the chillers. They are so beautiful, delicately executed with close attention to details and we really felt the results are too pretty to eat! The talent and skills are not limited to the petite cakes as other bigger cakes are also available upon order, specially crafted and customised accordingly.









“Brewing happiness and cosy moments” – that’s the motto and tagline by baker John Tan for the café and it’s so apt as we found ourselves totally immersed in the cosy ambience of the café, happily sipping our coffees and indulging in the sweet and savoury offerings.
