Welcome to my world!

Wow.  I love my new “home” 🙂

It’s amazing how attached one can get to one’s blog.  I mean, this blog here has been my baby for more than 3 years.  It’s just like nurturing a child, from birth… seeing how it slowly took off… those first uncertain steps, fumbling, groping in the dark, trying to improve, learn new stuff… and then slowly, slowly getting a firmer hold on this alien thing called “social media” and interacting online.  It’s been 3+ amazing years and I have gained much from this blogging experience, from the new food, new places I’ve tried but most of all, the new friends I have made through this media.

When I temporarily lost access to my blog (due to whatever reason/s known only to Blogger) I had several sleepless nights, worrying and agonising over the possibility that I would never again be able to access my postings.  Yes, that was painful.  That very notion was like losing a part of myself… as every post I have put up, I had done it with great care and passion.  And if I were to lose those, it would be such a personal tragedy to me.  That was when I knew I needed to get a more “secured” platform for my blogging, thus I went on to register my own domain… and so, that’s how I am here now 🙂

Like a new home and new surroundings, I need some time to familiarise myself to this whole new platform… play around and “renovate” a bit here & there…. so exciting!  I am so looking forward to making this a very comfortable place, for everyone who visits me here 🙂
