The Year of the Rabbit will be dawning soon, much faster than you think! We look forward to it as a year bringing hope, peace and prosperity – a kinder year for everyone. To celebrate this, the Westin Kuala Lumpur will be serving an abundance of festive favourites at The Living Room.
With a new Chinese Sous Chef, Steven Swee and his team are cooking up a good variety of celebratory dishes to welcome the Lunar New Year. From 3 January till 5 February 2023, The Living Room will present selections of Yee Sang in its festive buffet which offers an exquisite mix of traditional and modern signature creations.
Additionally, there will also be a 6-Course Happiness Reunion set menu, special homemade takeaway menu and festive hampers in tiffins.
Whether it’s dine-in or takeaway, the Yee Sang comes in several versions – with salmon, sliced abalone, jellyfish or just vegetarian with fresh fruits and vegetables.
The Chinese New Year Buffet features many of Chef Steven Swee’s signature dishes like Smoked Duck Slices with Peanut Sauce, Marinated Black Fungus Szechuan-style, 8-Treasure Winter Melon Soup, Fried Golden Perch with Jiang Zheng Sauce, Braised HK Noodles with Seafood, Roast Chicken with Tongkwai, Chilled Chicken Roll with Jellyfish Salad and sweets like Chilled Golden Fish Lotus Paste and Deep-fried Sesame Balls.
More delicious bites come in dishes like Braised Whole Duck Shanghai-style, Chinese Rice Cakes with Cheese, Steamed Seabass Fillets and Fred Snapper Fillets.
