Traditional Favourites at Home from Hotel Maya, Kuala Lumpur

This year, we won’t see much of people going out for Ramadan buffets in restaurants and hotels.  With the Movement Control Order (MCO) still in place  in the country, people are encouraged to stay at home and have their meals at home too.  Although recently some food establishments are allowing dine-in, majority of people are still practising caution.

So, why not take a break from cooking and have the culinary team of Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur cook up some favourites and have them delivered to you?  As the MCO is extended, Chef Hasbullah and his kitchen team are rolling up their sleeves to bring a little comfort to diners who are yearning for traditional Malay cuisine. 

Chef Hasbullah who is renowned for his Malay cuisine, has created a special menu featuring some of his personal favourites such as Nasi Tomato with Ayam Masak Merah; Nasi Kerabu; Soto Ayam and more. These local favourites are part of the selection of set meals which come complete with dates. 

Besides the Malaysian Heritage set meals, there is also an a la carte menu featuring local dishes, Western and Japanese cuisine. Chef’s signatures include Salmon Teriyaki and Cantonese ‘Ying Yong’ Noodles among others. For weight watchers, there’s a selection of healthy salads, gluten-free and vegan items. 

Leave some space for desserts as there’s homemade waffles, Chinese pancake with lotus paste or Bubur Pulut Hitam to tempt you! I must say the Chinese Pancake is really good – all that’s necessary is to panfry it and it’s as crispy as new.

The scrumptious Buka Puasa menu is available for delivery from 5 to 23 May 2020 and the a la carte menu will be made available from 5 May 2020 onwards.
