Whenever we go to Hong Kong, one of our favourite areas to be is Tsim Sha Tsui. It is, after all, the “happening” place to be where dining and shopping are concerned. Besides these, it’s also a key commercial area and several museums (The HK Space Museum, the HK Museum of Art and the Science Museum) are scattered around the vicinity too. Nathan Road is the main thoroughfare that runs through this area and huge malls, boutiques, restaurants and commercial buildings flank both sides of the road. So, if you are in Hong Kong for leisure or business, the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers is a good choice to stay as your base.
Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers, with 782 guest rooms and suites is located along Nathan Road, at the top of Kowloon’s Gold Mile, within the business and shopping district. Once you step inside the hotel, the noise of the bustling road and traffic from outside magically disappears. Probably it’s got something to do with the spacious main lobby with its shiny marble floor, sweeping staircase and sophisticated high ceilings. You know you are in Hong Kong when you see lines at the check-in counter and this is dealt with efficiently by their courteous professional front office crew.
We got our key cards and quickly zoomed up to our Deluxe Harbour View room. The first thing we did was of course to peer out the window to look at the view. The Victoria Harbour is immediately in our line of vision. It was a cloudy day but we could still make out the buildings that jostle for space at the iconic harbourfront.
Our room was of a decent size (considering how precious land and space are in Hong Kong!), with their signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed presiding grandly in the centre. You just have to love the sleek glass-windowed bathroom. The glass panel separating the bedroom and bath can, of course, be “closed” with just a flick of the switch. Well, ignore the switch if you prefer a direct view of Victoria Harbour from the bath tub!
The glass sink and counter are pretty cool features – they add a sense of seamlessness to the bathroom decor. What we really loved was the extremely strong water jets from the shower – aim those onto your head, neck, shoulders and back to get some soothing massages as you shower… just lovely.
There are several F&B outlets in the hotel: Lobby Lounge, Sky Lounge, Oyster & Wine Bar, Unkai Japanese Cuisine, The Cafe and Celestial Court Chinese Cuisine. Buffet breakfast is available at the all-day-dining Cafe and it serves an interesting spread of western and oriental cuisines. The Cafe gets really busy and a hive of activity, enhanced by the cheery greetings from their service crew.
We were told that a stay at the Sheraton Hong Kong is not complete if we don’t go up to their Sky Lounge to experience Victoria Harbour’s splendid location. So, we made our way up to the classy comfort of the Sky Lounge for a spot of harbour viewing while enjoying their Afternoon Tea.
Sipping on our Earl Grey tea, we willed the sky to clear a bit more so that the view of that famous harbour can take on some HD effects.
By the time we polished off the scones, sweet & savoury pastries and cakes from the beautiful tiered tray, we got a somewhat decent view …
When you book now, you get to enjoy their renowned “elevate your experience” package which allows you to a room upgrade with utmost personalized service and luxurious experience in Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers, with maximum 20% off!

Towers experience is a must-try for: it starts with a glass of champagne when you check in at the private reception and continues through the sumptuous lounge with its fantastic view over the Hong Kong skyline.
The next day, have a great start with a deluxe breakfast in Oyster & Wine Bar, mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the evening. Like any 5-star hotel, there is also a fully equipped health club with professional instructors, spa, sauna, massage facilities and beauty treatments.
