The name of this buffet in Pullman Hotel KLCC is quite a mouthful but it totally portrays the main highlights of the buffet! Available every Saturday at 6.30pm-10.00pm, at the Sedap Restaurant, the extensive spread is something that buffet enthusiasts should not miss.
Nothing kicks off a buffet better than indulging on a huge variety of seafood on ice. Besides the usual prawns, yabbies, mussels, clams and crabs, look out for the plump freshly-shucked live oysters here.
Next, check out the live tiger prawns counter where the chefs fish them out and cook them a la minute in various styles – grill, poach or in soup. You can add in noodles and toppings and have yourself a piping hot hearty bowl of prawny goodness.
The main seafood star in this buffet is the Boston Lobster which is served to your table. Each diner gets half a meaty succulent Boston Lobster which is oven-baked and topped with the chef’s special sauce.
Another item that’s served to tableside is their BBQ Platter. A selection of grilled delicacies like chicken wings, meatballs, sausages, meat skewers and stingray is served to guests for dining in comfort!
A popular section of the buffet is the Japanese counter with a good variety of sushi and sashimi. The Prawn Tempura is a hot favourite and you may have to queue for them! Similarly, the Roasted Whole Lamb is also one of the star attractions in this buffet, which is not usually available in most other buffets (except during Ramadhan).
The hot food section features more seafood: Prawns & Clams stir-fried in piquant spiced sauces, Fish Head Curry, Butter Oat Squid, Red Snapper in Black Pepper Sauce and Seafood Chowder to warm the stomach. To add on, there’s Dim Sum, Nasi Biryani, Pizzas and Tandoori Chicken for more options.
Sedap Restaurant features an impressive repertoire of desserts. The chocolate fountain is always popular with lots of accompanying goodies. Local and western sweets fill up the rest of the stands and shelves with nyonya kuih, colorful tarts, puddings, chocolate brownies, cream puffs, lin chee kang and all kinds of cakes. Don’t skip the ice cream and yogurt soft-serve!
