Have a Romantic Valentine’s Dinner at Cedar on 15, IMPIANA KLCC HOTEL

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you are thinking of having a cosy romantic dinner with your sweetheart, Cedar on 15 at the Impiana KLCC Hotel is all set to pamper lovebirds.

It’s next weekend and in view of that, the special 4-course Valentine’s Day menu is available on both 13 and 14 February. At different prices, of course. If you choose to dine one day earlier, on the 13th, it’s only RM499 nett per couple. However, dining on the actual day itself will cost you slightly more, at RM588 nett per couple.

Executive Chef Kenneth Chee and his culinary team has curated a special menu which showcases ideal cuts of meat and the freshest seafood. The menu is complemented by optional glass of sparkling wine or mocktail for each diner.

The starter is a delicate Salmon & Scallop Tartare. The chopped seafood was bursting with marine sweetness with each bite. The crunchy cracker accompanying the tartare was perfect with the chilled seafood.

Next came a double-boiled Quail Consomme. The tasty clear soup came with 3 bouncy dumplings and a couple of doughy hearts. That was a nice and romantic touch.

Before the mains were served, we had a tangy Lemon & Lime Sherbet palate cleanser which was so good I almost wanted to ask for another scoop.

There’s a choice of Grilled Wagyu Beef or Pan-seared Cod Fish for the mains. Of the two, I preferred the wagyu which was grilled to perfect medium. Incredibly tender and juicy – it’s wagyu, after all… the portion was pretty substantial and fulfilling.

The Pan-seared Cod Fish was given a really snazzy presentation but it was slightly on the bland side for me.

The desserts were quite the highlight of the evening. The centrepiece was a melba lavender jelly mousse flanked by a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and a pretty purple macaron.

The evening wasn’t complete without some lovely hand-made chocolate pralines presented with lots of love!

To enhance the romantic mood for the evening, diners will be serenaded by a violinist playing sentimental contemporary pieces.
