With just over a fortnight to go, the scramble to book festive feasts during the Chinese New Year has just intensified. If you are looking for a porky (translated as “non-halal”) Chinese restaurant in a hotel setting, Dynasty Restaurant at the Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur may be just your cup of tea.
From 18 January to 22 February 2016, Executive Sous Chef Kok Chee Kin and his team of chefs are all set to pamper you with festive menus focusing on flavours of Cantonese cuisine in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
The festive feasts offer the ever-popular Treasure Pots or Poon Choi, luxurious Set Menus and Dim Sum selections as well as Claypot Waxed Meat Rice and of course, not forgetting the prosperity Yee Sang.
Chef Kin has created 7 festive set menus suitable for 2 persons and groups of 5, 6 or 10 persons. The flexibility of the 7-course Prosperity Treasure Sets makes it very popular as the menus are priced at RM838nett and RM1,088nett customised for groups of 5 people. The sets come with Salmon Yee Sang and a Prosperity Treasure Pot.
Dining in a pair only? No worries – the 7-course Double Happiness Set is priced at RM428nett, to be shared by 2 persons while the 8-course Chinese New Year Set for 6 persons is priced at RM988nett.
If you are dining with a group of 10 persons, select the lavish 9-course set menus of Happiness, Fortune and Longevity priced at RM1,598nett, RM1,988nett and RM2,888nett¬¬ respectively. Yee Sang is of course included in these set menus.
