The Mid-Autumn Festival is on 29 September 2023 but mooncakes are already making their rounds in the market. One of these early birds is EQ Kuala Lumpur – their range of mooncakes, named Celestial Treasures have just been introduced. Traditionally, the gifting of mooncakes signifies gratitude of bountiful harvests after hard labour and efforts. Sharing of these sweet cakes also foster harmony and closer bonds among family and loved ones.
This year, EQ continues this blessed tradition of gratitude gifting with their range of delicious traditional mooncakes and unique snowskin variants. Traditional baked mooncakes include the EQ Signature Pearl of Harmony, Low Sugar White Lotus Single Yolk, Traditional Cantonese Mixed Nuts, Pandan Lotus and Red Bean.
For something appealingly cute, EQ’s famed Mini Baked Mooncakes are available in sets of 4 in Green Tea and Pure Lotus flavours.
Snowskin variants include the much sought-after Golden Charcoal Musang King Durian (an EQ signature) as well as their Emerald Yuzu Pandan, Mini Chocolate, Hawaiian Nuts, Butterfly Pea Flower Vitagen White Lotus, Red Bean Custard and Sundried Scallop Mixed Nuts.
Individual mooncakes can be bought exclusively at the Mid-Autumn Festival pop-up booths at EQ hotel lobby. The Celestial Treasures range will also be available at all Kampachi and Ippudo restaurants, Thyme Out at AICB Building from 1 July onwards. If you are at Pavilion KL Centre Court from September onwards, look out for the pop-up store too!
Prices range from RM28 to RM38 for baked mooncakes and RM28-RM48 for the snowskin variants.
