I love Thai food and it’s a good thing that this Ramadhan Chakri Palace Pavilion and Chakri Xpress Alamanda Putrajaya have come up with some delicious Buka Puasa feasts. Chef Solahudin Nutto and his team are cooking up a storm of more than 50 modern and authentic Thai and local favourites for Buka Puasa during this holy month.
Popular Thai dishes like mango salad, papaya salad, “mieng kam”, Thai spring rolls, Thai curries and tomyum will have their place of honour on the buffet tables. However, tantalising Malaysian cuisine is not ignored, hence there will also be rendang tok, pajeri nenas and nasi briyani being laid out side by side with the Thai dishes.
I particularly like the Lamb Green Curry, prawns in butter and salted egg yolk sauce and all the tangy Thai salads like somtam, mango and glass noodles kerabu.
Live action stalls offering satay, ikan baker and tomyum noodles will certainly make their presence felt. Leave lots of room for desserts as Thai favourites such as red ruby water chestnuts and mango sticky rice will certainly tempt you. Local desserts like the various sweet buburs, pengat pisang and malay kuih fill up the buffet tables as well.
The buffets at these 2 places are available daily from 1 July onwards.
