Step into Mosaic, the new All-Day Dining venue at Mandarin Oriental and you feel like you have stepped into a luxurious Peranakan mansion (a very huge one!). Overlooking the lush greenery of the KLCC Park, the elegant interior boasts elaborate finishings from customised vibrant flooring to intricate hanging pewter lights to bespoke mosaic walls. The design concept of Mosaic beautifully illustrates Mandarin Oriental’s objective to have a venue where their patrons can feel the local history, culture and sensibility being assimilated into the design.
Mosaic serves quite an extensive buffet for dinner with live cooking stations cleverly lining the entire dining area. Many of the themed dishes are cooked on-the-spot for you. You can also DIY … at the starters and salads station, have fun making your own salads by choosing your fresh crisp vegetables and drizzle with your preferred dressings. Munch that with a selection of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh oysters, sushi, sashimi and freshly poached prawns, mussels etc …
On the Indian counter sits several metal pots filled with delicious curries… I zoomed in on some garlic naans and chutneys to go with the mutton curry. If you are a fan of Indian cuisine, take your pick of tandoori chicken, lamb, prawns with several varieties of naan, murtabaks and other North Indian specialities.
Prawns Tempura Noodles
Western dishes… served in colourful pots and pans…
Pizzas are made on-the-spot to your personal preference of toppings!
At the Chinese counter, it’s kinda difficult to make up my mind which dish to scoop… there were dim-sums, stir-fry dishes, chicken rice and even a huge steamed garoupa.
Stuffed Tofu in Black Bean Sauce
Dessert lovers would go crazy with the fine selection here at the desserts bar. Perfectly crafted, the bite-sized cakes, pastries, kueh-mueh, pralines will surely tantalize your sweet tooth. I marvelled at all those pretty desserts laid in drawers, which is a great idea… to prevent them from drying out in the aircond environment.
Chocolate lovers can go beserk with the chocolate fountain and the selection of stuff you can dip in…
My favourite at this buffet is surely their grilled meats. I love their lamb chops and beef tenderloin which are well flavoured and oh so tender and juicy. I lost count of the number of times we went back for these!
While the selection here is decently extensive, it is not insanely so. They do offer reasonable choices at each food counter and ensure that the items offered are of good quality.

Hi! Great review. Do you by any chance know the price for the buffet breakfast? The price or the buffet lunch is cheaper than dinner.. Is it cause there’s less dishes?
