I can’t believe we are already in the first week of Ramadhan and the first half of 2014 has passed. As my Muslim friends embrace their holy month, I can’t help but feel that time is passing by too quickly – it only seemed like last week that we celebrated Aidilfitri 2013.
Aloft Kuala Lumpur’s Chef Steven Seow and his team have come up with a sumptuous spread for Buka Puasa at their funky all-day-dining Nook. I absolutely love the riot of vibrant colours that splash across this dining space. Above the buffet counters are these adorable “exploding fireworks-like” hanging lights which add on to the charming urban chic design of the hotel.
Some of the chef’s star dishes that should not be missed are the Stuffed Whole Lamb Kuzi served with fluffy long grained Nasi Briyani that goes so well with the Vegetable Dhall Curry, Cucumber & Pineapple Acar, Papadom and Mint-Tomato Yoghurt. I couldn’t resist their satay and rendang chicken as well. If you love chicken, don’t miss out their Roasted Chicken with Green Peppercorn Sauce and pile on the butter vegetables by the side ya!
The buffet counters are heavy with an extensive selection of Malay dishes and regional specialities. Action counters are available; appetizers, salads, condiments, soups, breads, mains and desserts are aplenty – it may be difficult to decide what to go for. If you have the stomach capacity, try out everything!
The A-list Malaysian Feast Buffet is priced at RM100 nett per person and is available from 30 June till 26 July 2014.
