From 23 June to 2 July 2011, there is a “Flavours of Shanghai” promotion at the Chinese restaurant of One World Hotel, Zuan Yuan. The food promotion kicked off with some pomp with the presence of Mr Gao Wei, the Director of Cultural Office of the Chinese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
To add authenticity to the promotion, 4 chefs from The Eton Hotel, Shanghai were invited to showcase Shanghainese dishes during the 10-day promotion. Chef Terry Yu Ning, Chef Fanny Le Fei, Chef Lion Yu Sheng and Chef Navy Yang Tian Hai will be cooking their signature dishes for this promotion.
A few Shanghainese Set menus starting from RM380++ per table of 4 as well as a la carte menu are available for lunch and dinner. At the launch event, I had an opportunity to sample some of the items…

ooh, considering i’ve never been to shanghai, this seems like a good way to sample their food without having to fly all the way there, heheh. which are the ones you recommend here, since you didn’t describe any of the food!!! no time, issit? 😀
WOWWeee! What sure is a lot of food! How was the taste/the flavours? I mean, is Shanghainese different from other preparations?
