First things first… let me just start here by telling you that the Honey Glazed Spiced Roast Turkey with chestnut stuffing served in Hilton Kuala Lumpur is quite possibly the best turkey I’ve had so far this year! So, if you are looking for the perfect roast turkey, then I do recommend the ones from Hilton KL. The secret lies in the special brining of the big bird prior to roasting. As a result, the golden skinned turkey yields a remarkably tender and juicy texture, making every bite a delight. I liked it so much I even had a second helping of it!
VASCO’S
The roast turkey is part of the epicurean spread at Vasco’s festive buffet available until 31 December 2014. “Opulent” is perhaps the right word to describe this outlet, from its impressive decor to the extensive array of festive favourites laid out at the counters.
Besides the western and Asian delicacies, mouth-watering rotisseries and divine desserts, special items like Gourmet Christmas Salad, special pizzas with slow-roasted turkey, soups and boosted seafood platters are set up to pander to every diner. The roast turkey is served with honey roasted potatoes, butternut squash, brussels sprouts, cranberry and giblet sauce.
Oven-baked Slipper Lobsters with cheese

GRAZE
Graze offers a 3-course festive menu – perfect if you just want a cosy sit-down dinner with your loved ones. The exquisite 3-course menu carries a mixed selection of classic and contemporary European dishes.
You can choose to start your meal with a simple Caesar Salad that’s jived up with a 62 Degree Egg, toasted garlic brioche and crispy beef bacon.
I loved the Carrot & Ginger Soup with its wonderful aroma. Scallop and chestnut quenelles are submerged in the delicious creamy soup.
I sampled the Steamed Salmon and Duo of Lamb and found both equally good. The roulade of salmon was flavoured with lemon and dill and served with a gorgeous crab tomato and lime beurre blanc sauce.

The Duo of Lamb consisted of a piece of lamb rack and lamb loin. Grilled to a perfect level of tenderness, the celeriac puree, garlic jus and garden vegetables completed this exquisite dish.

Dessert was a delicate piece of Raspberry Cheese Cake served with almond tuiles and vanilla ice cream.

CHAMBERS BAR & GRILL
I like this cosy and casual “grill house” restaurant with its special stoves and grills. The festive 4-course menu comes with a special Chambers Christmas Cocktail/Mocktail.
The charcoal bread here is really scrumptious!
From the sandpit charcoal pyre where they were grilled expertly, tiger prawn, squid and Hokkaido Bay scallop are served “robatayaki” style. The smokey aroma and sweet briny flavours combined well enhance by the horseradish sauce and beetroot puree. More grilled favourites came in the form of quail (served with saute’ed red cabbage and raisin served with marinated yellow beetroot and plum sauce). Next was the grilled smoked turkey breast with diced dried fruits and prune sauce.

Grilled Quail with Saute’ed Red Cabbage & Raisins
Grilled Smoked Turkey Breast with Diced Dried Fruits & Prune Sauce
I totally enjoyed the dessert of exquisite Red Wine Poached Pear with gingerbread ice cream but gave the accompanying blue cheese a miss.
