The Chinese New Year is associated with spring – the season for new growth, vitality, rejuvenation and all things hopeful – good reasons for celebrations indeed. Bright cheerful colours herald the dawning of this season and to welcome a new year. It is therefore timely that the celebratory feasts curated at Xuan Yuan in One World Hotel reflect the bright and refreshing colours of spring.
Starting from the Yee Sang, the riot of colours in this prosperity salad is proof enough that spring is in the air. This year, some of the special ingredients added into their Yee Sang are shredded parmesan cheese, seabirds nest and sweet turnips. The Ceasar Salad with Salmon & Grated Parmesan Cheese Yee Sang was particularly refreshing with lots of colourful vegetables tossed in. The grated cheese added a pleasant saltish flavor to the yee sang – something that has to be tried to savour it.
Prices of Yee Sang start at RM70 per half portion and will be available until 27 February 2016 for dine-in or takeaway.
