Sundays are meant for sleeping in and lazy meals. If you are one of those who live by this principle, then El Cerdo’s Sunday Bubblylicious Brunch will fit right in. And if you are a porky fan, this will even be more appealing as El Cerdo is well-known for their porcine repertoire.
You can opt for either the alcoholic package or the non-alcoholic brunch. The former is priced at RM149++ and the latter is RM99++ per adult. I’d say that the alcoholic brunch is really good value for money as you get free-flow of Cava sparkling wine, red/white wine, Tiger draught and soft drinks. The non-alcoholic brunch comes with free-flow chilled juices and soft drinks. Kids 6-12 years old is chargeable at RM49++ per pax.
The Sunday Bubblylicious Brunch is served from 12.00 – 2.30pm every Sunday. For this coming Easter Sunday (5 April 2015), there’ll be lots of fun-filled activities for everyone. And if you are worried about parking in Changkat Bukit Bintang, fret not as there is free valet parking service available there.
For the brunch, the cold appetizers are laid out buffet-style. Well, not all are cold – there is a divine roast pork corner where the pork is snapped up as soon as it’s out from the oven. Delicious crusty skin, tender meat and a delectable brown sauce to accompany. The mash here is very good – I like how there are chunks of potatoes mixed in to give it that added bite.
A good variety of hams, pate, terrine (pig trotter terrine or pig head jelly, anyone?), lomo and sausages like chorizo and salchichon are all laid out and replenished constantly. Don’t miss out the prosciutto with sweet rock melon! The salads are all good, too.

Ask for the sausage platter too – it’s a huge plate with 5 types of sausages and skewered “baby pigs in blanket” – cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon and skewered and served with sauerkraut.

For the mains, there are pasta and meats which are listed in the special menu. Just order whatever tickles your fancu there. We had seafood spaghetti, pork belly fettucini and the very German spaetzel with cheese and ham – so decadent!

Pork Belly Fettucini
We love the pork steak that’s charred so nicely and the perfectly tender meat. The roast baby back ribs were a bit under-seasoned so we went and got some of that lovely roast pork sauce for this. Then there’s also the hickory smoked Iberico soft ribs with sweetish tangy sauce served over mash.

Weiner Schnitzel
If you still have tummy space, go for the Wiener Schnitzel and save some room for their desserts. Mango tiramisu and Spanish chocolate cake would please many but I zoomed in on their house-made rum & raisin ice cream. Plump rum-soaked raisins studded the ice cream and that’s all I care for.
