This Ramadan, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur invites guests to experience the rich legacy of Malaysia’s royal culinary heritage with Sajian Istana, an opulent buka puasa buffet at JPteres, the hotel’s celebrated Malaysian cuisine restaurant.

From 19 February to 19 March 2026, JPteres showcases Royal Heritage Cuisine through an amazing spread of more than 150 mouthwatering dishes.

The gastronomic journey begins with a tempting array of traditional appetisers such as Urap Kangkung and Pucuk Paku (water spinach and fiddlehead ferns with coconut, chilli and onion), Kerabu Lidah Bakar (grilled beef tongue salad with coconut paste) and Kerabu Ayam Jantung Pisang, a vibrant medley of cage-free chicken, banana blossom, cucumber, chilli and lime, alongside many other classics.

At the heart of this culinary experience is the Charcoal Grill section, showcasing local Malaysian favourites Satay Ayam dan Daging, grilled sustainable seafood, vegetables and house-made sauces, complemented by grass-fed beef and cage-free chicken, cooked over aromatic charcoal flames.

Signature JPteres favourites such as Claypot Asam Pedas dan Kari Utara, Cik Ainil Yong Tau Foo and the comforting Abang Botak Sup Power further enrich the buffet. Adding to the variety are Indian-inspired favourites such as Murtabak with Australian grass-fed lamb or chicken, and Roti John Ayam, offering a delightful blend of flavours that reflect Malaysia’s multicultural heritage.

Exclusive to the Ramadan period, Sajian Istana introduces a selection of special dishes available only during this month, including Kambing Bakar Masak Merah 69, Rusuk Lembu Bakar Madu, Bubur Lambuk Haji, Lemang Pak Ali, Kambing Masak Jintan and more. The buffet also features the ever-popular JPteres Signature Chicken Rice.

It’s a must to conclude the buka puasa feast at the indulgent dessert stations featuring Signature Durian Swiss Roll, Cake Batik Banana Mousse, Onde-Onde Profiterole and an array of other local traditional Malay kuih and contemporary sweets. Live dessert stations add a nostalgic touch with Malaysian childhood favourites such as Apam Balik, Taufufa, Ais Kacang and Cendol. There’s even a stall hanging with all kinds of “vintage” snacks – straight down memory lane for all these childhood delights!
