With 14 restaurants under the Group, it’s so easy and convenient to dine in any of their outlets here in the Klang Valley. Long known for their excellent renditions of authentic yet innovative Chinese food, be assured that their culinary teams have curated a range of special festive dishes to usher in the Year of the Horse.

Top on the list is of course the Yee Sang. What is Chinese New Year without the mandatory “Lou Hei” practice, right? Some of the Yee Sang varieties here are Golden Enoki Mushrooms, Salmon, Soft Shell Crabs, Silver Fish and Crispy Fish Skin. We recently had their Yee Sang with Grilled Iberico Pork Neck and Soft Shell Crabs and this, I think is the best combo! The juicy slices of smokey tender pork and crispy crabs went so well with the fresh fruits and vegetables in the Yee Sang platter.

We were impressed with the knife skills and decorative creativity of the chefs in the beautiful arrangement of their Roast Duck and Smoked Chicken (smoked with premium Pu-erh tea leaves). The artful portrayal of the chopped birds into a prancing horse was a delight to the eyes indeed (and the stomach!).

Braised dishes are always welcome at a Chinese dining table. Their “Evergreen Blooming” Cabbage braised with pork tendons is so easy to like. With a thick umami gravy, the tender tendons and cabbage should be a hit with kids and older diners.

If you are a pork lover, the Iberico Golden Pork Cheek is a must-order. This was easily the most popular item on our table as everyone couldn’t get enough of the insanely fragrant super-tasty tender pork cheeks. Served with sweet Californian honeydew by the side, the burst of fresh fruity flavours totally enhanced the rich meaty chunks.

Fish is always a must-have dish in a celebratory CNY meal. “Nian Nian You Yu” Soon Hock was steamed to just the right done-ness, flavoured nicely with 3 ancient types of radish and pickled vegetables, beautifully sliced in the presentation.

Rice in claypot usually ends a meal and if you are looking for something different from the usual Lap Mei Fan, try the “Abundance Claypot Rice”. It’s a pot of really fragrant rice cooked with freshwater prawns and lots of garlic.
