Popularly known as the official food ambassador for Kuala Lumpur and one of Europe’s leading award-winning UK-based Malaysian Chef, Celebrity Chef Norman Musa has been invited by the Pullman KLCC to present some of his innovative dishes for their Berbuka Puasa buffet spread this holy month at Eccucino Restaurant.
Chef Norman, together with the hotel’s culinary team have prepared a spectacular array of more than 100 must-have buka puasa dishes. The buffet highlights some of Chef Norman’s authentic Malay dishes with a twist: Rendang Beef Wellington, Rendang Scotch Eggs and rack of lamb with water parsley and cheese.

Besides these crowd pleasers, get ready to savour a huge variety of local favourites like Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Api, Kambing Masala, Gulai Udang Batang Keladi, ketupat and lemang with beef and chicken serunding and rendang of course. They even have my favourite cockles rendang – I had two helpings!
Live cooking stations intersperse with buffet tables at every corner of Eccucino. Special stalls have even been set up right at the front of the restaurants – serving delicious nasi lemak, roti jala murtabak and mouth-watering noodles like laksa, mee bandung and mee sup. The laksa is one of the best I’ve had at a buffet.
Don’t miss out the “goreng-goreng” stall for their banana & chempedak fritters. Balance that with some kerabu and ulam kampung or even gado-gado. Festive favourites like bubur lambuk, sup tulang and various curries and rendangs will render you totally helpless in deciding!
The deserts stations are really lavish, with western cakes and pastries jostling for space with a wide variety of Malay kuih. What’s more, lots of “kuih raya” are laid out for your picking – there’s pineapple tarts, cookies and even traditional ones like “batang buruk” (my favourite!).
Chef Norman Musa will have live cooking demonstrations during his special appearances on 8, 14, 22, 25 & 30 June 2016. So, mark the dates if you want to catch him at Eccucino this month.

Pullman KLCC’s “Berbuka with Celebrity Chef Norman Musa” buffet dinner is available daily from 6.30pm-9.30pm until 5 July 2016. It’s priced at RM128 per adult and RM64 per child below 12 years of age.
