I’ve always liked the food in Putien ever since I first tried it when they opened in early 2012 (read my first review here). And it may or may not be a good thing that their 1-Utama outlet is just a stone-throw away. LIMAPULO – Baba Can Cook!
There’s a dearth of good Nyonya food outlets around town as many of these serve sad, pale versions of the cuisine. Blame that on commercialization or just a lack of skills – as far as I know, Nyonya cuisine involves a lot of tedious preparation, not to mention the difficulties in sourcing some of the ingredients, if authenticity is a priority. Ding Emperor – Premium Steamboat at fair prices
It’s no secret that I love steamboat or hot pot as some may call it. There’s something truly enjoyable about eating freshly cooked food, like right out of the pot! Nothing can be fresher than eating that piece of meat, fish or vegetables that have just been dunked into hot soup and cooked to just the perfect done-ness.
