Just last month we visited Melbourne again and were invited to spend some time in Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa. You just gotta love Chef Pearl Woo. Chef Pearl Woo in her playground Chef Pearl Woo from Qba Latin Bar & Grill in The Westin Kuala LUmpur is one of the most lovable chefs I’ve met in a long while. The warm, bubbly, chatty and ever-smiling chef makes one feel immediately welcomed and at ease. You can feel the incredible passion oozing out from her when she just can’t wait to tell you all about the food that she’s going to cook and serve you. Passion and commitment must be her middle … [Read more...]
Restoran Boston Baru, Klang
Have you ever been to a restaurant at 5pm (for dinner) and wait for it to open? This must be the only restaurant I have done something like that! I have heard so much about this plac, the incredible crowds it draws and the ridiculous queues. So, one fine Saturday evening we were there at 5pm. They were not opened yet and we stood in front of the restaurant a good 45 minutes waiting for it to open! The must-order item here is its famous Steamed Lala in Supeior Stock. We … [Read more...]
The New Delicious
These days you are likely to see Steve Allen dressed casually in checked shirt and jeans in the Delicious cafes. Why? Of course, he still heads the new Delicious Kitchen but he now allocates time in other operational aspects of Delicious, from customer service to training to just about everything else. So, there I was… chatting … [Read more...]

Trained in French cooking in Europe, Chef Yee keeps his menu tight as he prefers to offer items which are ever-popular using the best and freshest ingredients for the day. The menu features 7 entrees, … [Read more...]
Sandakan Food Trail (1)
Did you know that Sandakan is a great place for foodies? Haha, I didn’t know that until I had a chance to visit this quaint town recently. It’s actually the 2nd biggest town in Sabah and located at the north-eastern tip of the state. Sandakan is actually very rich historically, with many places of interest worth visiting but being the glutton and foodie that I am, I shall share its bountiful food offerings first. As Sandakan is also a port, its location next to the sea means the … [Read more...]
Sunday Brunch at Kampachi @ Troika, Kuala Lumpur
Ever since Kampachi at Troika opened late last year, I had wanted to check out their Sunday brunch. (Read about my earlier dinner review here). They do serve the usual set meals as well as the more extravagant omakase meals but the Sunday brunch is something to look forward to if you are an ardent fan of Japanese cuisine. Their Sunday Brunch is not like the regular buffets where the dishes are all pre-cooked and laid out on the serving counters. Miso Soup with fat juicy … [Read more...]
