Boston Lobsters, Mooncakes & New Dim Sum – Di Wei @ Empire Subang
I think no one would ever say “No” to a lobster meal, seeing how this highly-prized crustacean is regarded as king and stands proudly at the top of the list of desired seafood. Well, unless you are allergic to seafood, that is. I was told lobsters are actually pretty healthy for the diet; it’s actually lower in cholesterol, calories and healthier than roast beef! If this is not good reason enough to eat lobsters, then I don’t know what is. If you head on over to Di Wei Chinese Cuisine … [Read more...]

Although the actual festival date is on 19 September this year, mooncakes have already made their appearance weeks ago in many restaurants and hotels. Yes, these days the anticipation leading up to the festivals gets promoted earlier and earlier – it’s like everyone is trying to … [Read more...]

The Burger Factory @ Kota Kemuning
I am not really a burger fan and certainly am not inclined to go out of my way to hunt for meat patties sandwiched in buns. I always associate burgers with fast food (and that’s not a food preference I place high up on my list) despite the recent craze on this fad where new burger joints have been sprouting up in the Klang Valley like mushrooms after rain (but really, has anyone ever seen mushrooms growing like that in this part of the world?!). Don’t get me wrong – I do enjoy the occasional … [Read more...]
Hotel Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City
When I was booking our airtickets to visit Vietnam, I was debating between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Since we have never been to Vietnam before, actually either city would be fine with us. We decided on HCMC due to its shorter flight time from Kuala Lumpur. Our flight was an early one and we landed in Tan Son Nhat International Airport at just after 8.00am (Vietnam time is 1 hour behind Malaysian time). Our airport pick-up from Hotel Equatorial was all ready for us when we exited … [Read more...]
