omg, for a split second, i thought that was a real pig waiting to be slaughtered, instead of a statue 😀 i don't remember seeing that at all!
i think one of the cool things about el cerdo is that there's sooo much on the menu that we'd need at least 5-8 visits in large groups to try everything, heheh

You've just given me a timely reminder! I am soooo on a porky drive now, not sure where it's coming from, but this would be PERFECT for a weeknight outing! Thanks!!!

This is suck an oinky post. But then again, nobodys gonna expect any less right? Haha.

I've always love the food here, just not the crazy atmosphere. On a weekend, they break a plate every 10minutes on average. I get a headache every time I'm there

Such good timing. Just in time to whet the appetite for Oktoberfest!! 😀

Dunno why we haven't been there. Keep going to Eurodeli instead.

Isn't it funny how we find rabbits so adorable that we haven't the heart to eat them, but even though we find piggies cute, we have no qualms about gobbling them up?? 😀

gfad : Coz pigs are supposed to be enjoyed. Crackly, crispy skin and all.

Damn, this post makes me wanna go El Cerdo for the suckling pig! And the still-interesting breaking of plates tradition.

But MUST gather a large group lah … sadly. If not one knuckle and one ribs already more than enough.

haha, from the FB thumbnail, i agree with sean, it looked like a real pig about to be slaughtered…
eh, the rum & raisin pancakes, is the rum raisin just in the ice cream, or in the pancake oso got? just gave me an idea to make the pancakes WITH rum & raisin.

Ahhhh!! The porky heaven that is located so darn far from PJ 🙁 all my friends who had gone there gave thumb up!
Normally I prefer my food to be served warm or hot! That explains why the serrano ham never manage to impress me

Werner is forever a darling. Haven't been back for a while since got so many new places to try out :p

I wonder if he still display the piggies I gave him many moons ago 😀

Sean: Oh yeah, this monster pig is a recent addition, i was told. And yes, El Cerdo is certainly worth repeated visits!

  12. PureGlutton says

gfad: Do go & pig out here when you're back next!
What u said is true – we have no qualms about eating piggies – maybe becoz we know & accept that traditionally they are bred for food?!

FBB: Woots! Such a rare honour to hv your comment here 🙂
Looking fwd to your rum & raisin pancake delight!

Oh you just stopped my beating heart with this post. Truly a porky celebration. I dunno why but I've been a more committed pork lover after the age of 30 (didn't really care for it much when I was younger).

    I can't imagine a better meat for a feast! 😀

  15. Pureglutton says

LFB: Hmmm, i didn't know got AGE factor in the enjoyment of pork, hahaha! Come, we go makan babi when you are back 😉
