The last time I dined at Dancing Fish was when they first opened, some 5 years ago. As one of the few restaurants around town serving good Indonesian fares, they have been doing well. And in fact, the restaurant just bagged the “Rising Star” Platinum Business Award 2016 bestowed by the SME Association of Malaysia. That’s a testament of the restaurant’s unique local expertise on the verge of making their global presence in the near future. Certainly, Dancing Fish has been … [Read more...]

MALLIKAS RESTAURANT – Best of Northern & Southern Indian Cuisines
Now I must admit Bukit Jalil is not an area I frequent much. But then I heard about this Indian restaurant there that serves a good variety of both Northern and Southern Indian favourites and thus, we made our way there. Opened just last year in this rather quiet neighbourhood, Mallikas Restaurant occupies a middle lot in one of the few rows of shops in the Bukit Jalil commercial area. Inside, its fuss-free set-up was clean and simple with efforts and resources focusing on the food … [Read more...]
AN VIET – Traditional Vietnamese Cuisine @ The Gardens Mall
An Viet, a casual restaurant which opened late last year in The Gardens Mall serves a good selection of popular Vietnamese dishes best suited to the Malaysian palate. Using only the freshest ingredients, An Viet’s culinary team ensures authenticity by sourcing key ingredients like fish sauce, rice paper and rice noodles directly from Vietnam. CERDITO RESTAURANT: IBERICO PORKY FEAST!
Opened in May this year, Cerdito Restaurant is a full-service restaurant right smack in the middle of Puchong Jaya. In an area that’s brimming with casual cafes, kopitiams and noisy Chinese “tai-chow” kinda restaurants, Cerdito stands out with its prominent facade in a corner lot. Stepping into the restaurant, I was pleasantly taken aback with its sleek modern interior design with its elegant and welcoming at the same time. The clean classic lines of its contemporary design … [Read more...]

How time flies - I can’t believe that it has been a year when I first stepped into Ruyi & Lyn and was blown away by Chef James Ho’s iconic miniature nasi lemak and Hainanese chicken rice. LAS CARRETAS MEXICAN RESTAURANTS – NORWEGIAN SALMON TROUT GALORE!
With a bright pink sheen and white marbling on the flesh, the Norwegian salmon trout is prized for its clean rich flavour. Farmed in the cold clear waters of Norway where water from glaciers and melted snow creates a less salty basin, the salmon trout gets its unique clean and mellow taste from this environment. The velvety texture is firm yet delicate to the bite. Chef Victor Siow of Las Carretas knows his fish well. Not only is he an avid and accomplished deep-sea fishing enthusiast, he … [Read more...]
